Creative Character

Mission Statement

Our project seeks to fulfill many needs. The first will be to provide teachers with quality lesson plans that link art to character education. Due to the fact that most teachers are asked to write and execute lesson plans about character education in some capacity, this site will allow teachers to pull up the trait, look through the lessons and pick an art modality that they believe will fit their classroom and teaching style best. The next piece that this project will fulfill will be to give parents a place to make connections with the school and their students through character education and the arts. Parents will find websites, information about the arts and discussion boards to explore and research topics about the arts and character education. Finally, this will also be a place where kids can discuss and view art ideas from kids their own age. There will be a place for students to come up with their own solutions about issues with character traits and also a board which will display art projects that have been executed by classrooms regarding specific traits.
